Job summary

Contract Lumber, Inc. in Brownsburg, IN is seeking a Fleet Technician to maintain and repair all company vehicles and equipment under the direction of the Fleet Manager. The job covers scheduled maintenance, unscheduled repairs, preventative inspections, and may require 25% travel as needed.

We offer full benefits, profit sharing and a 401K for our full-time staff. The position is Monday–Friday, 1st shift, 40 hours per week with overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to anticipate, analyze and proactively solve problems
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedures
• Ability to read/write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to perform arithmetic with measurements in all units
• Knowledge of electrical components, hydraulic systems, gas, LP, and diesel engines
• Proficiency with computers and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to weld, torch, and use plasma cutter
• Good organizational skills; detail oriented and efficient
• Leadership, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
• Willingness to take on additional duties as required
• CDL recommended

Responsibilities

• Scheduled maintenance to all company vehicles, trailers, yard lifts and truck-mounted forklifts
• Unscheduled repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and address defects
• 25% travel may be required
• All other duties as assigned
