Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee preventative maintenance and repairs of fleet vehicles and lead a team of diesel technicians. The role ensures compliance with company, federal, and state regulations and directs maintenance policies for optimal performance.

The position offers a competitive salary of $100,000 to $110,000 per year and calls for strong leadership, planning, and vendor management to support service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certificate in safety training preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations is vital.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction to on-site technicians to ensure repairs and maintenance are performed safely, efficiently and timely.
• Oversees coordination, planning and scheduling of all repair work to increase productivity.
• Provides hands-on maintenance assistance and training to technicians.
• Maintains an ongoing preventative maintenance program and monitors costs relating to personnel, purchasing, inventory, and outsourcing of repairs.
• Performs inspections of outside repairs and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory procedures.
• Maintains knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic and electrical systems of fleet vehicles.
• Manages relationships with external vendors and warranties.
• Demonstrates leadership and coaches employees to achieve skills and organizational results.
• Participates in training to advance knowledge and supports company goals.
