Job summary

Community Transit is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor/Journeyman to support the Maintenance Shop in Everett, WA. Under general supervision, you will assign work, oversee daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate parts and vendor activities to keep fleet services on schedule.

The role requires five years of journeyman level vehicular maintenance, strong IT skills with maintenance software, and the ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of journey level vehicular maintenance experience including diesel repair.
• Proficiency with maintenance IT software and hardware.
• Washington CDL with passenger endorsement and air brake restrictions removed within 90 days.
• Ability to work any shift including graveyards, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assigns work to journey mechanics and prioritizes projects to meet operations.
• Oversees shop operations and ensures safety, quality and adherence to standards.
• Provides technical assistance for repairs, failure analysis, and parts selection.
• Maintains diagnostic software/hardware and fleet maintenance applications.
• Coordinates with parts and vendor teams to ensure parts availability.
• Supports ongoing maintenance projects and vendor performance monitoring.
• Assists in training Maintenance staff and advises on equipment specifications.
