Job summary

Community Transit in Everett, WA, seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician II to diagnose and repair transit building systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support multiple trades both in the field and at operations bases. The role emphasizes safety, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires journey-level maintenance skills across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and low voltage systems.

Qualifications

• 5 years of facilities or commercial building maintenance experience.
• Journeylevel skills, vocational training, or certifications in facilities related maintenance and repair; a valid WA driver license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work safely to troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment across facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems.
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals during installations and repairs.
• Document maintenance work and use CMMS and MS Office for records.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other departments to solve problems.
• Be available for overtime and emergencies as required.
