Job summary

Republic Services seeks a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a shop handling diesel and alternative-fuel equipment. You will direct technicians, schedule repairs, enforce safety and compliance, and monitor performance.

The role involves coaching, hiring decisions in partnership with HR, and budgeted expenditures in a busy fleet environment. You will maintain advanced knowledge of engine, transmission, braking and electrical systems, ensuring repairs are completed safely and efficiently on site

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with ASE certifications.
• 3 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience; 1 year supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of safety, DOT/OSHA and federal/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance shop and lead technician teams to safe, timely repairs.
• Plan and schedule repair work; monitor performance and efficiency.
• Conduct training, coaching and performance evaluations for staff.
• Oversee inventory control and budgetary approvals within scope.
