Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of technicians responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of heavy equipment, including trucks and containers. The role requires ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and timely repairs in a busy shop environment.

The supervisor will plan and schedule tasks, review performance, and coordinate with management on improvements.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in maintenance working with heavy equipment.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role or management role requiring knowledge of safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technicians in the maintenance shop and lead daily shop huddles.
• Oversee repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and compliance.
• Monitor performance, coach staff, and approve budgets within scope.
• Maintain inventory control and ensure parts availability within budget.
• Perform inspections and coach on corrective actions when needed.

Education

ASE Certifications (T3 Drive, T4 Brake, T5 Suspension & Steering, T6 Electrical/Electronic, T7 HVAC, T2 Diesel Engine, Master Certified)
