Job summary

8Fleet, Inc. is hiring for San Francisco and San Diego to keep our fleet in top driving condition. This hands-on role will have you in the lot and shop, scheduling preventive maintenance, coordinating repairs, and guiding the Fleet Specialist team to keep vehicles on the road.

You will monitor downtime and costs, manage outside shops and vendors, and escalate safety issues immediately. A background in fleet maintenance and experience with Fleetio, Samsara, and ServiceUp are highly valued, along

Qualifications

3+ years in fleet, automotive or vehicle maintenance.
Experience managing vendors.
Familiar with Fleetio, Samsara and ServiceUp.
Willingness to work a 24‑hour operation, including nights, weekends and on‑call.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Own the preventive maintenance schedule for your market.
Coordinate repairs and track every vehicle until it's back in service.
Manage outside shops and vendors, from scheduling through invoice review.
Direct the day‑to‑day work of the Fleet Specialist team.
Track downtime and cost per vehicle, and keep maintenance records and inspections current.
Take unsafe vehicles out of service and elevate safety issues right away.
