Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Fleet Maintenance and Damage Manager to optimize fleet utilization and profitability on-site. You will lead maintenance, repairs, in-fleeting/de-fleeting activities and vendor management to ensure service levels and quality.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of management experience in related fields, strong financial skills, and a proven ability to develop and motivate teams. This role requires on-site presence and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in related fields (rental car, automotive shop or service oriented).
• Strong financial forecasting and budgeting skills.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team, manage vendor relationships and performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work on-site and lift up to 50 pounds; flexible schedules as needed.

Responsibilities

• Directs maintenance, repair and reconditioning of fleet vehicles per plans and guidelines.
• Oversees in-fleeting/de-fleeting of vehicles and manages vendor performance.
• Forecasts budgets and key financial drivers for fleet operations.
• Coordinates damage appraisals, repairs, parts, tools and supplies.
• Manages employee lifecycle and safety compliance on site.
