We are seeking a Fleet Asset Managerfor our South Brunswick, NJ location.
The Fleet Asset Manager is responsible for managing the assets, equipment, repairs, maintenance, and registrations for our trucking fleet.
Responsibilities:
• Manages tractor assignments in Transportation Management (TMT) system
• Manages, monitors, and reports on tractors, equipment, trailer pool, and other assets
• Manages vendors and negotiates for equipment, parts, and repair estimates on price and time frame
• Records invoices and chargebacks due to/from vendors and assists Accounts Payable in resolving invoice issues
• Works with Driver Managers and Vendors to schedule, complete, invoice, and track preventive maintenance
• Manages E-Z Pass, reviews violations, updates account, and sends to Accounts Payable for payment
• Oversees and schedules work for company mechanics. Orders parts for mechanics and closes out purchase orders once vendor invoices are received.
• Communicates with leasing customers for breakdowns, preventive maintenance and other services needed
• Prepares Month end closing/reporting. Closes out all repair orders, runs reports, and creates accrual report for missing invoices to share with accounting
• Supervises the Fleet Maintenance Administrator
• Positively promotes Hermann Services to current and prospective employees and customers
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years fleet asset management experience
• Minimum 1 year people management experience
• Detail oriented
• Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in the transportation, distribution, or related industry
• Experience working with Transportation and Maintenance Management Systems
