Job summary

Transdev is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Clerk in Inglewood, California to support our bus maintenance operations. You will work with technicians, supervisors, and vendors to keep parts flowing and records accurate, helping minimize downtime.

This role requires a high school diploma, office experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will research parts, process invoices, manage inventory, and maintain work orders and preventive maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in office, data entry, or administrative support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to vehicle maintenance operations.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the bus maintenance team, including technicians, supervisors, managers, and the client.
• Perform parts research and purchasing to support timely bus repairs.
• Track parts inventory transactions, perform physical inventory counts, and help manage stock levels to ensure availability of critical parts.
• Process invoices and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely payments and smooth supply chain operations.
• Maintain accurate work order records, preventive maintenance schedules, and safety-related documentation.
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to purchase parts, coordinate deliveries, assist with sublet service contracting, and resolve operational issues.
• Help ensure smooth shop operations by minimizing downtime through efficient clerical support.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the maintenance shop and office functions.
