Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Livermore is seeking a Logistics Manager to plan and direct operations, lead dispatch staff, company drivers, and owner operators while directing communication to optimize vehicle utilization and efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, cost control, and the ability to analyze reports to drive improvements. A bachelor’s degree and several years in supply chain/logistics with supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• 2+ years of managing and leading direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of daily fleet operation.
• Develop policies, programs and procedures for efficient operations.
• Set schedules, routes and assign drivers/vehicles.
• Act as primary contact for operational information and driver concerns.
• Recommend compliance improvements with transportation policies and programs.
