Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Supervisory role in logistics to lead shifts, oversee daily operations, and ensure performance aligns with customer expectations. You will coach teams, manage schedules, and drive continuous improvement within a Fortune 500 logistics environment.

This position emphasizes safety, operational excellence, and collaboration with customers while developing staff and achieving key metrics. Salary is commensurate with experience and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
0–1 year of direct supervisory/leadership experience is required.
1 year or more experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise, coordinate and oversee day-to-day logistics operations.
Plan and review logistics processes with the Logistics Manager to meet company standards and customer service specs.
Establish work schedules and procedures; coordinate activities for optimal shift/team logistics.
Be accountable for site KPI performance.
Collaborate with customers on all aspects of operations.
Conduct regular progress reviews with team members to monitor objectives and coach as needed.
Cultivate team spirit with diversity and inclusion initiatives and improve internal processes.
Carry out performance evaluations and recommend rewards or merit increases when appropriate.
Address performance issues through corrective action and disciplinary processes.
Implement health, safety and security initiatives and ensure policy adherence.
Provide orientation and necessary resources to employees and team leads.
