Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead daily fleet operations, set routes, and supervise drivers and staff. You will develop policies to improve efficiency, monitor performance, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across transportation and terminal activities.

The role requires a strong background in logistics, proven leadership, and the ability to drive cost reductions while maintaining service quality.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
• Three+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field.
• Two+ years managing and leading direct reports.
• Strong knowledge of Transportation/Warehouse Logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of safety and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct daily fleet operations and drive productivity.
• Develop policies and procedures for efficient transportation systems.
• Set schedules, routes, and assign drivers and vehicles.
• First contact for operational information and driver concerns.
• Recommend improvements to policy compliance and cost control.
• Analyze vehicle and driver schedules to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Review reports to evaluate productivity and implement changes.
• Recruit and onboard new drivers; monitor progression.
• Monitor turnover and performance; establish retention programs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and government regulations.
• Direct maintenance of equipment and communications systems; budget planning.
• Perform other duties; work flexible shifts.
