Job summary

Shepeard Community Blood Center in Georgia is seeking a Fleet and Facilities Assistant to ensure smooth operation of mobile blood collection vehicles and fixed sites. You will manage maintenance, scheduling, supply ordering, and facilities upkeep to meet regulatory standards.

The role requires CDL, 3–5 years in fleet or facilities, and strong organizational skills. You will collaborate with drivers and vendors, handle safety protocols, and support blood drives with efficient logistics.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in fleet and/or facility management, preferably in healthcare or nonprofit.
• CDL required and driving record must meet insurance standards.
• Background check and drug screening required; eligible to work in the United States.
• Strong organization and communication skills; proficiency with maintenance software and MS Office.
• Knowledge of DOT compliance and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, inspection, and repair schedules for mobile vehicles and fleet.
• Ensure DOT and local regulations compliance; maintain mileage and service records.
• Coordinate with mobile drives teams for vehicle scheduling and rotations.
• Supervise building system maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and safety checks.
• Coordinate janitorial, landscaping, waste and site upkeep; respond to after-hours issues.
• Assist with setup of blood drive supplies and inventory tracking.
