Job summary

Shepeard Community Blood Center in Augusta, GA is seeking a CDL Mobile Driver to join our donor services team. Under the Director of Donor Services, you will safely collect blood from volunteers, manage equipment, and prepare units for transport while ensuring a reassuring donor experience.

You will load and transport gear, maintain vehicles, and complete logs and quality records. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and donor relations in a mission-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 3–6 months driving vehicles over 26,001 pounds.
• Skills: Basic mechanical and clerical skills; stand for prolonged periods and lift at least 50 pounds.
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, set up, and dismantle equipment and supplies for blood collection.
• Maintain the bloodmobile and truck in good working condition.
• Complete required logs and reports, including VIR and DDL.
• Maintain accurate manual and computer files on quality control and blood collections.
• Promote positive relations with donors, sponsors, and the community.
