Altorfer Cat is seeking a Central Transportation Dispatcher to efficiently operate the rental transportation function. You will manage 8–12 drivers, route optimization, vendor coordination, and daily customer communications to support dealership needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to act quickly and persuasively to meet day-to-day demands.
• Strong communication skills with customers, sales, and rental teams.
• Working knowledge of permits and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outside hauling and plan deliveries/pickups for efficiency.
• Coordinate with third-party hauling vendors for cost-effective service.
• Maximize routes for 8–12 drivers daily.
• Complete timely paperwork, reporting, and invoicing.
• Communicate with customers, sales team and rental coordinators daily.
• Assist with monthly/yearly trucking budgets.
• Monitor fleet maintenance and advise on replacements.
• Obtain state/local oversize/over-width permits.
