The City of Newton is seeking a skilled mechanic to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of fleet vehicles and equipment. You will use fleet software to document work, conduct preventive maintenance, and ensure safe operation of all systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical components.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain records using fleet software and documentation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Install and service two-way radio systems, microphones, and antennas.
• Perform State Inspections on City vehicles.
• Support snow/ice removal and other emergencies as needed.
• Store hazardous waste per regulations and keep records.
