Job summary

Sysco Knoxville is seeking an Operations technician to maintain delivery equipment. You will fuel all equipment daily, check fluid levels, and assist the fleet shop to prepare gear for use.

You’ll collaborate with fleet shop and night warehouse management, wash trailers according to FSQA, and keep the yard tidy while supporting night spotters. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Able to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with units of measure.
• Willingness to drive and back-up tractor-trailers and straight trucks.

Responsibilities

• Fuel every piece of delivery equipment daily.
• Check all fluid levels of power equipment daily.
• Assist the fleet shop when needed.
• Work with both fleet shop and night warehouse management to ready equipment for use.
• Wash trailers per FSQA schedule
• Keep parking lot clean and free of debris.
• Support the night truck spotters to organize the truck yard.
