Oldcastle APG in Bulls Gap, TN seeks a Dispatcher to coordinate daily dispatch and fleet activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. The role involves managing driver assignments, communicating with drivers and customers, and supporting on-site operations as needed.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, maintaining safety programs, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize resources and service levels.

Competenze

• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations for commercial motor carriers.
• Familiarity with heavy-duty truck/trailer operations, routing, payloads, and maintenance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation-management software.
• Ability to coach and develop employees while promoting teamwork.
• Willingness to travel domestically by car, with some air travel.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities, including driver and equipment assignments for safe, efficient operations.
• Communicate schedules, requirements, and changes with drivers, customers, and office staff.
• Monitor operations and adjust resources to meet changing needs.
• Assist with on-site responsibilities during after-hours as directed by Fleet Manager.
• Support improvement of overall operational performance and safety programs.
• Build positive relationships with drivers and support driver safety, training, and development activities.
• Promote DOT/FMCSA safety compliance and company safety expectations.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain operational performance metrics.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance safety, productivity, service, and asset utilization.
• Participate in customer meetings and support pricing discussions as needed.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships and support continuous safety improvements.
