Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a Fleet Dispatch Administrator to coordinate daily transportation and fleet activities, drive safe and cost-efficient operations, and partner with drivers, customers, and internal teams to sustain service levels.

The onsite role at Bulls Gap, TN, requires strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, truck operations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and transport software; some travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations applicable to commercial motor carrier operations.
• Experience with heavy-duty truck and trailer operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation-management software platforms.
• Ability to coach and develop employees while promoting teamwork and productivity.
• Domestic travel may be required, primarily by automobile.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities, including driver and equipment assignments, to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
• Maintain regular communication with drivers, customers, office personnel, and other stakeholders regarding schedules and service requirements.
• Monitor daily operations and adjust resources to changing customer and business requirements.
• Support on-site activities when directed by the Fleet Manager and outside normal business hours.
• Assist with monitoring and improving overall operational performance.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with drivers and support driver safety programs.
• Promote compliance with DOT/FMCSA requirements and company safety expectations.
• Develop and maintain operational performance metrics and support sales/service discussions.
