Job summary

Asphalt Express, a division of Overland Corporation, seeks a proactive Fleet Dispatcher to plan and coordinate the movement of liquid asphalt cement. You will schedule drivers and tanker trucks, maintain communication with terminals and customers, and ensure compliance with DOT rules in a fast-paced environment.

You will monitor loads, adjust plans as needed, and uphold safety standards while coordinating with internal teams and outside carriers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant experience preferred.
• 1–3 years in dispatching, trucking, logistics, or related roles.
• Experience coordinating tanker trucks or liquid asphalt is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and dispatch drivers and tanker trucks for liquid asphalt cement transportation.
• Coordinate pickups with terminals and deliveries with plants and customers.
• Assign drivers/equipment based on product needs, route, hours, and priorities.
• Monitor loads and ensure schedules remain on track.
• Maintain inventory of drivers, tractors, trailers, and outside resources.
• Communicate with drivers, terminals, plants, and customers about changes.
• Coordinate replacements when breakdowns or conflicts occur.
• Provide load info, paperwork, and PPE as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and DOT regulations.
