Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years experience as a Dispatcher.
• Preferred: college or related technical experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
• One year supervisory experience managing at least five people.
• Four years’ experience in shipping and warehousing or CDL truck driving.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily driver duties, optimizing routes, time, and completion of the day.
• Coordinate with DOT for driver hours of service when assigning loads.
• Interact with internal and external customers; ensure smooth handoffs between dispatchers and managers.
• Enter purchase orders as needed and participate in driver payroll to ensure accurate compensation.
• Oversee fleet management, maintenance scheduling, and safe, cost-effective operations.
• Supervise department staff, train employees, assign work, and provide performance feedback.
