Job summary

Arvato, a leading 3PL provider, seeks a Transport Planner to schedule and dispatch outbound shipments using a company-owned box truck fleet. The role manages daily routes, assigns drivers and vehicles, and ensures on-time delivery while coordinating with warehouse outbound teams and Client Services to meet service levels.

Responsibilities include maintaining schedules, tracking shipments, and communicating updates to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with transportation scheduling, dispatch, or route planning.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA requirements and hours-of-service rules.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily outbound shipments and delivery routes for company-owned fleet.
• Build dispatch schedules by customer window, service level, and geography.
• Assign drivers and vehicles while balancing hours-of-service and capacity.
• Confirm delivery appointments and communicate schedule changes promptly.
• Coordinate with warehouse outbound teams to ensure timely departures.
• Track shipments and re-route when needed to meet service levels.
• Provide shipping docs and proof of delivery.
• Arrange third-party coverage when volume exceeds capacity.
• Monitor KPIs like on-time delivery and route costs.
