Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead day-to-day operations across a private fleet and hired haul network from Morristown, TN. The role focuses on aligning logistics strategy with safety, compliance, and service goals.

You will manage a team of logistics coordinators, fleet managers, and CDL drivers, driving cost reductions while ensuring on-time performance and collaborating with multiple business units.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in transportation, including use of transportation management software.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel and Tableau encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Strategic logistical planning for all locations.
• Manage a team of logistics coordinators, fleet managers, and CDL drivers.
• Ensure DOT compliance and driver qualification files.
• Oversee hiring, performance coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Improve service performance (On-Time Delivery) and reduce costs.
• Provide reporting on KPI metrics to management.
