Job summary

Starr Bus Charter & Tours is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to support our operations team and keep our motorcoach fleet running safely, reliably, and on time. This fast-paced, hands-on role covers trips added or changed after the initial schedule, keeps drivers informed and equipped, and owns fleet compliance, insurance, and payroll administration.

You’ll sit between drivers, Maintenance, customers, and management, with on-call coverage for evenings and weekends rotating about one week

Qualifications

• Experience in dispatch/logistics and transportation operations.
• Familiarity with scheduling software and fleet compliance tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication under pressure.
• Ability to juggle multiple trips and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage driver and motorcoach coverage for trips added or changed after the initial assignment window.
• Run daily dispatch and monitor operations in real time.
• Coordinate lodging, per diem, and travel for drivers on multi-day trips.
• Review logs (eRODS/DVIRs) for compliance and coordinate with Maintenance on defects.
• Handle driver and customer questions professionally and escalate safety concerns when needed.
