Job summary

Ricart Automotive is seeking a skilled Fleet and Commercial Diesel Technician to service a growing fleet of heavy-duty vehicles near Dublin, Ohio. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and braking systems, while adhering to safety standards and DOT requirements.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on diesel experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ASE certifications (or OEM training).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years hands-on experience as a diesel/commercial vehicle technician.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a diesel technician program certificate is a major plus.
  • Current ASE Certifications (Medium/Heavy Truck) or OEM factory training preferred.
  • Must possess a comprehensive set of personal hand tools and air tools for commercial vehicle repair.
  • Must have a valid driver''s license and meet company motor vehicle report standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate heavy machinery safely.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and brakes on fleet vehicles.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain a range of heavy-duty equipment and powertrains.
  • Perform routine PMIs and DOT inspections to ensure fleet compliance.
  • Utilize OEM and aftermarket diagnostic software to identify faults and document results.
  • Document diagnoses, repairs, and parts used on repair orders accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace following OSHA and dealership guidelines.
