Job summary

Dollar General Fleet is hiring Diesel Technicians in Zanesville, Ohio. This role ensures trucks, trailers, and yard tractors are in working order and compliant with federal standards, performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to keep the fleet on the road.

Candidates should have at least one year of experience with Class A trucks, and be comfortable with air brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, welding, and tire repair.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working on Class A trucks.
• Experience with air brakes, hydraulic & electrical systems.
• Prior welding and fabrication experience required.
• Tire repair experience preferred.
• Perform DOT inspections and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components including doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment, and complete repair orders.
• Maintain repairs for Class 8 trucks, trailers and yard tractors.
• Safely operate gauges, forklifts, shunt trucks, torches, grinders, and safety tools.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
