Job summary

Boss Shop in Ohio seeks a Diesel Mechanic/Technician to perform repairs, maintenance, and service calls. You will diagnose with J-Pro, FleetCross, and OE software, and document work orders accurately in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• Air Brake Certification is required.
• DOT Medical Card is required.
• ASE certifications are preferred; promotion targets include Engine, Brakes, Electrical, HVAC and Suspension/Steering.
• 609 HVAC certification is required for HVAC work.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance, tire services, and emergency road service calls.
• Conducts DOT inspections and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Performs service calls including night and on-call assignments.
• Utilizes J-Pro, FleetCross, and OE software to diagnose and repair vehicle systems.
• Completes work orders with labor, parts used, and warranty information.
• Performs engine, fuel, cooling, turbo, and related system repairs.
• Maintains shop cleanliness and safety of tools and equipment.
• Mentors advanced technicians as needed.
