Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a Mechanic/Technician in the United States to maintain and repair our fleet of diesel tractors, trailers, and related equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work to ensure safe operation and compliance with company policies.

Candidates with ASE Master Certification and CDL are preferred; opportunities include tool reimbursement and tuition support for ASE certifications, with shift differential pay available.

Qualifications

• One year experience in vehicle maintenance or completion of FedEx Freight Apprentice Program with satisfactory performance.
• Must possess tools to perform assigned tasks.
• Knowledge of testing equipment, gauges and tools for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ability to operate vehicles with manual and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Do basic diagnostics to identify issues and make adjustments for safe operation.
• Document maintenance work in reports, written and electronic.
• Contribute to safety inspections and paint/body work as required.
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.
