Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to perform inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on our fleet to keep trucks safe and on the road. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and maintain records throughout the process.

Responsibilities include completing DOT inspections, handling fluids and components, and communicating with customers and drivers. The role requires a valid license, attention to safety, and the ability to work flexible

Qualifications

Requires ability to read and interpret repair manuals and diagrams.
Good written and verbal communication with internal and external customers.
Able to complete paperwork and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Responsibilities

Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per maintenance schedules and DVIRs.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and perform necessary repairs.
Complete adjustments, repairs, and component replacements to vehicles and related systems.
Check, fill, and/or change fluids and filters.
Inspect and overhaul electrical, air, and brake systems.
Perform roadside repairs when qualified.
Ensure safety devices on vehicles are operational.
Maintain neat work areas and properly document activities.
Complete yearly DOT inspection forms and keep records in the system.
