Qualifications

Job description

Reyes Fleet Management is hiring immediately at our Reyes Coca Cola Bottling facility in Alsip, IL. Seeking a Fleet Diesel Mechanic A to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment.

Shift: Full-Time 3rd Shift Sunday - Thursday 9:00PM-5:30AM
Pay: $35.44/HR

Position Responsibilities:

  • The Fleet Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of fleet diesel equipment, as well as the diagnostics and rebuilding of clutches and brake systems.
  • As a Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders related to repairs and preventative maintenance using the online AssetWorks system.
  • You will operate a company vehicle to diagnose and repair equipment as part of roadside service calls.
  • You will ensure that equipment has the required licensing and registration before being deemed "roadworthy".
  • You will install, replace, and repair onboard computers (XRS or XataNet) and/or cameras (DriveCam).
  • You will work in accordance with company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations to ensure safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 3 plus years of related experience.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License to operate applicable company vehicles.
  • Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement).

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Technical School Certification.
