Description
This individual will maintain production and quality by ensuring a safe, reliable, and DOT-compliant operation of the Fleet's commercial trucks and trailers. This involves mobile maintenance, troubleshooting, PM service, and work order execution. Reporting directly to the Fleet Manager, this role also collaborates with Logistics, Plant Management, and Safety departments to ensure mobile asset health and utilization are optimized, all while adhering to safety standards, TSIMCO guidelines, and applicable regulations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Ensure operation of commercial trucks and trailers by completing preventive maintenance on engines, hydraulics, and transmissions following manufacturer instructions and specifications.
- Perform diagnostics before repairs to ensure correct parts are purchased and proper repairs are performed.
- Document all repairs on work orders and follow parts ordering procedures.
- Conserve resources by efficiently using equipment and supplies.
- Provide maintenance information by responding to questions and requests.
- Prepare maintenance documents by collecting and analyzing information according to industry guidelines.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with company procedures and regulations.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Diagnose, adjust, and repair commercial equipment and hydraulics.
- Identify causes of malfunctions and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical systems, DEF/DPF, sensors, injectors, EGR, etc.
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper performance and compliance.
- Perform routine maintenance such as lubrication and safety inspections.
- Assess vehicles for additional safety or repair needs.

- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Walk up to a mile daily
- Push, pull, and climb ladders frequently
- Maintain balance when climbing or working at heights
- Use hands for grasping and manipulations
- Have good hearing and vision, including depth perception
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

- Wet or humid conditions

- Outdoor weather
- Loud noise levels

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- CDL Class A
- High School Diploma
- Certification in Diesel & Heavy Equipment Repairs
- At least 5 years of experience
- Experience with heavy and commercial equipment
- Knowledge of mobile maintenance tools and diagnostics
- Basic welding skills are a plus
- Good communication skills in English
- Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance is a plus
- Familiarity with hydraulics, electrical systems, and PM procedures
- Proficiency in safety equipment usage, including PPE and fall protection
- Ability to operate company devices and learn to use the DVIR app for defect tracking
