Job summary

Zipcar is seeking a Fleet Coordinator in San Francisco to guide field teams and external partners so our vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and ready for members to rent. You will manage repair lifecycles, update ETAs in our work management platform, and coordinate upfits and disposal with ABG partners.

The role emphasizes relationship building with third-party vendors, attention to ticket-based workflows, and strong organizational skills to multitask and prioritize.

Qualifications

• Must build strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.
• Experience with third-party maintenance and towing vendors is a plus.
• Familiarity with online ticket-based work-flows preferred.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks by business need.
• Experience in fleet or logistics is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the repair life cycle from notification to return to grid.
• Update the work management system with ETAs and notes.
• Secure in-fleet units with branding, keys, and up-fitting.
• Schedule de-fleets for disposal and ensure timely handoffs.

Job description

As Fleet Coordinator, you will use technology to guide your team in the field to ensure our fleet of vehicles are ready for our members. Vehicles should be clean, in good condition, and ready to drive – this all depends on you. You will work internally with your team as well as externally with our various vendors to keep everyone on time, organized, and where they need to be.

What You'll Do

• Coordinating the repair life cycle of our vehicles from the time they require repair to the time they go back on the grid for rent. This includes working with ABG supply chain partners, third party maintenance vendors, third party shuttling companies, towing vendors, and impound recovery facilities
• Updating Zipcar’s platform (work management system) daily with ETA’s of when vehicles will be complete, any pertinent notes to the repair process, and closing out the ticket loop once complete.
• Securing in-fleets units from ABG --- which includes requesting units, branding, key tethering, and up-kitting
• Scheduling de-fleets units for disposal

The hourly rate for this position is $23/hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
