Job summary

Fred Smith Company in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Fleet CDL Foreman to lead crews and CDL drivers in our Fleet Division, directing daily dispatch for equipment transport to active sitework and infrastructure projects.

You will ensure compliance with motor carrier regulations, manage logistics for safe, on-time deliveries, and enforce weight limits. A NC Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements is required; strong benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 year of specialized heavy civil transport (Lowboy & Fuel Truck) and supervisory experience.
• Deep understanding of motor carrier regulations, required permits, and commercial vehicles.
• Proven track record driving Lowboys; transporting a variety of Heavy Equipment, as well as Fuel Truck driving and fueling operations.
• Must hold and maintain a valid North Carolina Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Must also have Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements

Fred Smith Company is hiring an experienced Fleet CDL (Lowboy & Fuel Truck) Foreman for our Fleet Division in North Carolina. This leadership role oversees crew leaders and drivers hauling heavy equipment and materials to active commercial sitework, public infrastructure, and asphalt job sites.
