Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team.

You will maintain a diverse range of vehicles, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers, with propulsion systems spanning diesel, gasoline, and alternatives such as CNG/LNG and hybrid. Technicians troubleshoot hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems and engine controls; meet DOT requirements and may work varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience with automotive mechanical systems and on-vehicle diagnostics.
• Ability to operate diagnostic equipment and PCs for troubleshooting.
• Brings a full set of personal hand tools to work.
• CDL Class A/B or A CDL preferred.
• Massachusetts Inspection License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday.
• Sits infrequently, as required, throughout duration of workday.
• Exercises hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching as necessary.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
