Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District Transportation seeks an automotive technician to perform preventive and emergency maintenance on district vehicles. You will troubleshoot repairs, read blueprints, and ensure safe operation after service.

The role covers diverse systems (gas, diesel, propane) and requires use of diagnostic tools; CDL Class A/B may be required within 90–120 days, with endorsements supported by the district.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ASE certification or six months' experience in maintenance and repair of vehicles.
• Must have valid Texas or New Mexico driver’s license; CDL Class A/B eligible within 90–120 days.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot vehicles brought in for repair and determine parts/time needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles per manufacturer recommendations.
• Repair vehicles/equipment including welding, plumbing, HVAC, upholstery, tire repair, and body repair.
