A Texas school district is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to assist the transportation department in providing safe transportation through fleet maintenance. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, assisting with vehicle repairs, and ensuring accurate documentation. Ideal candidates should have a valid Texas Commercial Driver’s license, a high school diploma, and experience in automotive maintenance. This is a full-time position with various responsibilities to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s license (Class B with P & S endorsement).
• Ability to complete required bus driver safety training.
• Minimum two years of general experience in service station type automotive maintenance.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventative maintenance on district vehicles.
• Assist technicians in overhaul and repair.
• Complete required written documentation regarding vehicle conditions.

Ability to pass drug and alcohol test

Ability to operate a bus

Proficient computer skills

Acceptable driving record

Formation

High school diploma, equivalency

Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s license (Class B with P & S endorsement)
