Job summary

UPS in Gainesville, Georgia is seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to maintain a diverse fleet including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers. You will troubleshoot diesel, gasoline, and alternative propulsion systems, and perform maintenance on hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.

Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shifts and to bring your own hand tools is required. The position offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits after probation, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Current automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B or A CDL (CDL) preferred.
• Dependable with regular and timely attendance.
• Willing to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements for the job assignment.
• Operate standard and manual transmissions; use power and pneumatic tools.
• Perform routine maintenance on delivery vehicles, tractors and trailers.
• Adapt to working in varied temperatures and conditions.
