Job summary

Palm Tran, a public bus transit operator in West Palm Beach, seeks a data analyst to improve maintenance data quality in CMMS and related transit systems. The role analyzes fleet performance, maintenance costs, reliability, and warranty impact, delivering dashboards and actionable insights.

The candidate will coordinate warranty claims, support regulatory asset data requirements, and provide data-driven recommendations to enhance fleet availability and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public/business administration, transportation management, or closely related field, plus two years in transportation equipment or fleet warranty.
• Must possess knowledge of OEM warranty policies and procedures.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivots, lookups, data validation, charts) and large-dataset analysis; Power BI desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze fleet performance, maintenance costs, vehicle reliability, and preventive maintenance efficiencies.
• Coordinate warranty claims from identification through reimbursement.
• Develop dashboards and management reports for fleet operations.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve fleet availability, reliability, compliance, and cost effectiveness.
