Job summary

Magna Powertrain is seeking a Warranty Analytical Analyst to drive continuous improvement in warranty performance through data-driven insights. You will investigate warranty claims, support part reviews, ensure data accuracy, and manage customer scorecards while reducing costs.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Science or Mathematics preferred.
• Four-year data analytics experience with focus in warranty preferred.
• Strong experience with warranty, quality, or reliability data in automotive/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to develop dashboards, recurring reports, and executive summaries to support decision-making.
• Proficient in Excel; experience with Power BI, R programming, or similar tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead data analysis, trend identification, and forecasting to support risk mitigation and cost control.
• Serve as a trusted analytical partner to cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, finance, supplier management, leadership).
• Independently interpret data, challenge assumptions, and validate conclusions to ensure accuracy.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and executive-level summaries for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactively identify risks, anomalies, and improvement opportunities through data monitoring and root-cause analysis.
• Support financial planning activities such as cost forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis using statistical methods.
• Ensure data integrity and governance across systems, reports, and customer-facing deliverables.
• Prepare and present data insights for cross-functional forums including reviews with leadership.
• Attend customer PDT, engineering, and warranty review meetings with analytical support.
