Job summary

Wingstop in Mount Airy, NC is seeking a motivated cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare wings, fries and sides to Wingstop standards, ensure quality and consistency, and help deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The role requires 1 year of professional cooking experience (preferred) and a Food Handler Certification. Must stay organized, maintain cleanliness, and work calmly under pressure; a positive, outgoing attitude helps.

• Line cook: 1 year (Preferred)
• Food Handler Certification required

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each guest has a positive, long lasting impression of the Wingstop experience
• Ability to practice safe cooking procedures
• Quickly scan and comprehend the order tickets
• Accurately count the number of Bone-In Wings, Boneless Wings and Boneless Strips needed for each order
• Coordinate the cooking time of Bone-In Wings, Boneless Wings and Boneless Strips and fries with the corresponding timer
• Sauce, Season and package all orders
• Cook and prepare Bone-In Wings, Boneless Wings and Boneless Strips, and Fries in the proper fryers and baskets
• Filter and freshen the fryer shortening daily
• Keep the kitchen clean throughout the shift and at closing time
• Notify Manager on Duty of safety or sanitation issues
• Follow directions given by Manager or Supervisor
