Job summary

Brenntag North America is seeking a Technical Development Manager to grow markets for sensory components and functional ingredients in the North American food industry. Focus areas include dairy, meat, plant-based alternatives, prepared foods, soups, sauces, and dressings.

You will partner with strategic producers, sales teams, and customers to accelerate commercialization. The role requires a BS/MS in food science and 10+ years in food product development or technical sales, with strong

Qualifications

BS or MS in Food Science.
Min 10 years' experience in food product development and/or technical sales.
Understanding of unit operations and unit processes in savory and dairy industries.
Extensive hands-on experience with applying flavors and colors in a variety of food products.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Brenntag's strategic producer partners to learn product portfolios and technical attributes for applications in food products.
Work with product and category managers to identify and strategize entry into target accounts in assigned geographies.
Visit accounts with the sales team weekly and engage with R&D to define customer needs at the technical level.
Engage with producer partners to suggest best solutions for customers.
