Job summary

Wingstop is seeking a kitchen team member to prepare high-quality food and maintain Wingstop standards in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure safe cooking procedures, manage ticket flow, and coordinate cooking and fry times to deliver timely, tasty wings and sides.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of professional cooking experience or equivalent restaurant exposure, strong guest-service mindset, and the ability to work calmly under pressure.

Qualifications

• Professional cooking: 1 year (Preferred)
• Cooking: 1 year (Preferred)
• Line cook: 1 year (Preferred)
• Cook and restaurant experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each guest has a positive, long lasting impression of the Wingstop experience
• Ability to practice safe cooking procedures
• Quickly scan and comprehend the order tickets
• Accurately count Bone-In Wings, Boneless Wings and Boneless Strips for each order
• Coordinate cooking times for wings and fries with timers
• Sauce, season and package all orders per Wingstop standards
• Accurately count cooked wings and strips into proper sauce bowls
• Cook and prepare wings and fries in the correct fryers and baskets
• Filter and refresh fryer shortening daily with proper safety equipment
• Keep the kitchen clean throughout the shift and at closing time
• Notify Manager on Duty of safety or sanitation issues
• Assist other employees as needed
• Follow directions from Manager or Supervisor
• Understand and practice good hygiene and food handling practices
• Follow safe use of chemical cleaning products
