Job summary

Lyndon Steel Company, a leading structural steel fabricator in North Carolina, seeks a Driver to safely transport steel materials to job sites. The role involves loading/unloading, securing loads, and complying with DOT regulations for safe on-road delivery.

Ideal candidates have a CDL Class A, DOT medical card, and at least 2 years of tractor-trailer/flatbed experience. This full-time position offers competitive wages and benefits in a safety-conscious shop environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions; manual transmission experience required.
• DOT physical examination and drug screening completed.
• Minimum 2 years’ tractor-trailer experience on flatbed.

Responsibilities

• Secure materials by chaining, strapping, and blocking under strict procedures
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections; inspect the truck for defects and safe operating conditions, before, during, and after delivery trips
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicle
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks
• Complete DOT-required drivers' daily log and trip sheets accurately
• Performs other duties as assigned
