Job summary

Lyndon Steel Company is seeking a CDL-A Driver to transport structural steel in and around North Carolina. You will ensure safe loading/unloading, securement, and compliance with DOT regulations for on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, documenting logs, and maintaining a safe driving record. Experience with flatbed loads is highly valued; competitive wages and benefits are offered in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Motor Carrier Safety Regulations/DOT guidelines.
• Knowledge of state weight regulations.
• Ability to maintain a clean driving record and emphasize safety.
• Ability to work safely, wear PPE, and participate in safety programs.
• Flatbed experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Secure materials by chaining, strapping, and blocking per procedures.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck and equipment.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Complete DOT-required daily logs and trip sheets accurately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
