Job summary

Thuma is seeking a Store Manager for our flagship in San Francisco. You will lead a team, deliver an exceptional guest experience, and drive business results across retail and trade channels.

Responsibilities include team development, visual merchandising, budget management, and coordinating store promotions. You will build relationships with interior designers, architects, and specifiers while maintaining brand standards and a high-touch customer experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Retail, Interior Design and/or Trade, luxury brand experience preferred.
• 4+ years in Retail Leadership; cafe experience is a plus.
• Experience delivering high level customer service.
• Strong communication, collaboration and delegation in high-pressure settings.
• Proficient with Google Suite; Shopify experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the flagship store and cafe, delivering a high-touch experience for retail customers and trade clients.
• Lead and build relationships to grow the San Francisco design community and trade program.
• Ensure visual merchandising and interior design reflect brand aesthetic and current products.
• Recruit, hire, and train a high-performing team; set performance expectations and provide ongoing training.
• Lead team to hit in-store KPIs, including scheduling and positive culture.
• Deliver consultative, design-oriented sales experiences for guests and trade clients.
• Coordinate customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and timely.
• Share insights from retail and trade to inform product, marketing and merchandising strategy.
• Develop and manage budgets with the Head of Retail; plan store promotions and events.
• Ensure health and safety compliance, including cafe food safety.
• Monitor security and safety of the store and customers.
