Job summary

A & Associates is seeking Trash & Recycling Helpers to join our team. This role involves collecting waste, recyclables, and yard debris from residential and commercial sites, performing curbside pickups, and supporting disposal and recycling operations.

The job requires working outdoors, lifting heavy objects, and long shifts, including all holidays. Ideal candidates should be comfortable with manual labor, able to use basic hand tools, and wear steel-toe boots.

Qualifications

• Education minimum: eighth-grade level.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Must be able to work 10-hour days and all holidays.
• Wear 6-inch steel toe boots as required.

Responsibilities

• Collect garbage, recyclables, and yard debris from residential and commercial locations.
• Perform curbside pickups using basic hand tools.
• Ride along to disposal or recycling sites and assist with unloading.
• Assist driver with fueling and checking fluid levels.
• Clean truck interior and exterior at shift end.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Education:Minimum eighth-grade level
• Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift and handle 50 pounds
• Availability:Must be able to work 10-hour days and all holidays
• Footwear:Must wear6-inch steel toe boots(Required — no exceptions)

• Ride along to disposal or recycling sites and assist with unloading
• Assist the driver with fueling and checking fluid levels

• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

• Comfortable working with waste and debris
• Capable of using basic hand tools
• Physically able to lift, carry, and move heavy objects throughout the shift
• Dependable and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
