Job summary

Midco is seeking a Fixed Wireless Field Engineer to support the performance and reliability of its fixed wireless network by maintaining, repairing, and upgrading vertical assets, fiber, and power systems. You will ensure all work meets technical, safety, and regulatory standards while contributing to network development and service excellence.

Responsibilities include maintaining assets, following safety policies, upgrading capacity, interpreting maps, documenting work, and mentoring new hires.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years in telecommunications field or equivalent experience.
• Tower climbing certification; FAA107 (Drone SUAS) certification within 180 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; meet DOT requirements; no DUI in past 5 years.
• Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and state/local safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vertical assets, fiber, and power supply of the network.
• Follow Midco safety policies and OSHA regulations during climbs up to 500 feet.
• Maintain, repair, and upgrade network capacity and integrity; implement action plans.
• Interpret maps and plans; verify designs and configurations with team.
• Test, review, and document system designs; perform on-call duties as required.
• Mentor new hires and model Midco values while ensuring privacy guidelines.
