Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Tower Technician III to install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment. This role emphasizes safety, hands-on problem solving, and teamwork to deliver high-quality results on long-term projects.

You will climb towers, read and follow safety policies, and mentor newer technicians while supporting various build and maintenance tasks across sites.

Qualifications

• Safety is a part of your day-to-day.
• Minimum of 4 years of tower experience.
• Able to climb towers and lift up to 50 lbs, for up to 12 hours.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting policy.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out printed instructions and safety standards.
• NWSA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment and systems.
• Climb towers and ladders at various heights.
• Assist in tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles.
• Assist in antenna installation and transmission line work.
• Mentor new, less experienced technicians.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
