Job summary

Midco is seeking a Fixed Wireless Field Engineer to support and maintain its wireless network infrastructure. The role involves climbing tall towers, maintaining vertical assets, fiber, and power systems, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across the network.

You will analyze network maps, test designs, and configurations, collaborating with colleagues to troubleshoot and improve service reliability. The position requires travel, on-call duties, and mentoring new hires as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Maintain and apply knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and state/local regulations.
• Tower climbing skills and safety certification required.
• Drone (FAA Part 107) certification or must obtain within 180 days.
• DOT driving requirements with clean record and possible medical card.
• Knowledge of telecom network construction and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vertical assets, fiber and power supply of the network.
• Follow safety tower/structure policies when climbing up to 500 feet.
• Maintain and upgrade network capacity and integrity; develop and execute improvement plans.
• Interpret and apply network maps and plans.
• Test designs and configurations; collaborate with team members.
